Diwali, one of the most auspicious Hindu festivals, celebrates the victory of good over evil. But Diwali is celebrated in great numbers across the globe. Apart from Hindu, Sikhs, Janis and Buddhists also commemorate Diwali in different forms, making it comparable to the western Christmas. Diwali marks a new beginning and is celebrated with massive firework displays, family feasts, by giving presents and decorating your house with colorful lights and candles.
The Diwali is celebrated throughout India, right from the villages to the cities and the metropolitan. In rural areas, clay oil-lamps are generally used for lighting and in cities, the celebration includes millions of lights shining on housetops, outside doors and windows, temples and other buildings, together with fireworks that illuminate the sky. On the occasion of Diwali, people also make Rangoli, which is a folk art from India in which simple geometric patterns, deity impressions, or flower and petal shapes are created on the floor, in living rooms or courtyards.
On this festival, Scorpio Information Technology team celebrated Diwali. Everyone was excited to celebrate this occasion and the office was decorated with diyas, candles and team members designed the Rangoli. All the team members captured the pictures to make the occasion memorable. We enjoyed all the moments and had a lot of fun with the treat after that we flew some Chinese sky lanterns. Honorable Hardeep sir gave presents to the team members.
